Compassionate Care Team

Our multidisciplinary team comprises nephrologists, nurses, other medical
professionals, dietitians, patient care assistants, wellness coaches,
allied health professionals and administrative staff.

Regardless of our individual roles and responsibilities, we are united by
three core values:

Compassionate and
Dignified Care

Professional
Excellence

Collaborative
Team Spirit

Medical Advisory Board and Rounding Doctors

Led by KDF Medical Director Associate Professor Lina Choong Hui Lin, together with Dr Grace Lee, who oversees our peritoneal dialysis programme, our team of 14 volunteer nephrologists regularly reviews patients to ensure that their medications remain appropriate and that any medical conditions or comorbidities are closely monitored and managed.

Nurses and Patient Care Assistants

Led by Ms Petra Chong, who has been with KDF for 17 years, our dedicated clinical team provides patients with attentive and compassionate care. Through close monitoring and established clinical protocols, we strive to ensure that every dialysis session is safe and well managed.

Our clinical staffing includes:

Registered Nurses (RN): One nurse to four patients
Enrolled Nurses (EN): One nurse to two patients
Patient Care Assistants: Supporting patients’ comfort, safety and daily care needs throughout treatment

Patient Welfare Services Team

Led by Ms Shelaine Pom, our Patient Welfare and Services team tirelessly advocates for patients, supporting their financial, emotional and social needs. From conducting patient screenings and applying for financial assistance to coordinating with community partners, the team ensures that every patient receives the care, comfort and support they need.

Physiotherapist and Wellness Coaches

Led by Ms Abigail Wang, our wellness coaches deliver the Physiotherapy FIRM Programme, which she developed using an evidence-based approach. Each programme is personalised to support patients’ mobility, strength and overall well-being, helping them maintain a better quality of life.

Centre Admin Team

From assisting patients with transport arrangements to managing appointments, coordinating centre operations, attending to enquiries and restocking essential supplies, our Centre Administrative Assistants keep many moving parts running smoothly each day. Their work behind the scenes is vital to ensuring that patients are well supported and our centres operate efficiently.

Dietitians

Our patients’ dietary needs are reviewed every two months by licensed dietitians. Based on their blood test results, patients receive personalised dietary advice to help them manage their condition, make informed food choices and adhere closely to their recommended diet.
