Financial Assistance for Every Stage of the Dialysis Journey
At KDF, we believe that no one should be denied life-saving dialysis care because of financial hardship. Through a comprehensive range of assistance programmes, we help patients and their families manage the financial, logistical and lifestyle challenges that often accompany chronic kidney disease.
Our support extends beyond dialysis treatment, ensuring that patients receive the care and resources they need to live with dignity and confidence.
Dialysis and Medication Subsidies
KDF has been supporting lower-income patients since 1996 by providing subsidies for dialysis treatment and essential medications. Assistance is tailored to each patient’s financial circumstances and assessed according to Ministry of Health means-testing guidelines.
By reducing the financial burden of treatment, we help patients focus on their health and well-being rather than the cost of care.

Adopt-A-Patient Programme
For patients facing significant financial difficulties, KDF’s Adopt-A-Patient Programme provides an additional layer of support.
This second-tier subsidy helps cover the co-payment portion of treatment fees that patients may still struggle to afford after receiving existing subsidies. The programme helps ease out-of-pocket expenses and ensures that financial constraints do not become a barrier to receiving necessary care.
Transportation Assistance
Regular dialysis treatment requires patients to travel to and from dialysis centres multiple times each week. For patients with mobility challenges or a moderate-to-high risk of falls, transportation can be a significant concern.
KDF provides transportation assistance through initiatives such as taxi subsidy cards and wheelchair-friendly vehicle services, helping patients travel safely and reliably for their treatments.
Patient Support Programmes
At KDF, care extends beyond medical treatment. We offer a range of programmes designed to support our patients’ physical, emotional, and social well-being, including:
- Physiotherapy and Fall & Injury Risk Management (FIRM) Programme
- Dietitian and nutritional counselling services
- Patient education seminars and recreational outings
- Vending Hearts programme, providing essential daily necessities to patients in need
- Hublet Tablet: Information, Education and Entertainment device to enhance their treatment experience and overall well-being.
These programs help patients maintain their independence, improve their quality of life, and stay connected to a supportive community.
