Patient Enrolment Process

All patients must be referred to KDF by a Medical Social Worker from a restructured hospital through the BRIGHT system. Each patient will undergo means testing to determine the appropriate subsidy level, as well as a medical assessment to identify any conditions that may require special attention from KDF’s medical and clinical teams.

Preparation of Documents

A Medical Social Worker from a restructured hospital will assist you with the financial and medical screening process. Once the assessments are completed, you will be presented with a selection of dialysis centres and may indicate KDF as your preferred provider.

If KDF is selected, we will process your application and submit it to our Patient Welfare Services Committee for review. Upon approval, you will be informed and guided through the onboarding process.

Patient onboarding

If your application to KDF is approved, you will be guided through an onboarding process, which includes an orientation to help you understand your dialysis treatment and familiarise yourself with the centre.
